Earl x Mittenimwald collab poster on the streets of L.A.
Miw is an internationally known street artist out of Hamburg, Germany with the amazing artistic ability to capture the female form using a minimalistic approach. Working with hand cut stencils and usually not more than three primary colors, he creates his stunning works on newsprint. His other signature look is an aged paper effect that he has perfected after many years of practice. It is a time consuming process he accomplishes after the stenciling process and takes approximately one week for each print. Anybody would have to agree that the combination of his art and texture work combine to make Miw’s works really stand out.
Mittenimwald and Earl ‘discovered’ each other on Flickr and after exchanging some art decided that a collaboration between the two artist would be a natural. The “Time Trial” piece pictured here was completed just before the Indy 500 this last memorial day weekend and is just the beginning of a series of posters the artist have planned.
